More than my Gamecock sweatshirts, my dorm posters or even the content of my classes, what I'll carry from UofSC are the interviews I conducted for Garnet & Black Magazine. I came into college with no journalism experience, but I got to sit down with a National Book Award winner, the dean of the Honors College, SVAD activists fighting for student safety and, of course, some of my best, most eloquent friends who shared their unbridled passion with the magazine's readers. I've loved growing as an editor and leader, but more than my time in charge, I'm grateful for the UofSC community that embraced me, challenged me and built me into the compassionate and curious editor I am today.

Future plans: Caroline will move to Ann Arbor, Michigan, and start a publishing-adjacent job, work as a freelance novel editor.
